General Terms and Conditions

​These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Dr Ellie Hambly, Clinical Psychologist, including 1:1 therapy, group workshops, digital courses, and corporate consultancy. By engaging with any of these services, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.

1. Provider Details

 

Dr Ellie Hambly is a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist practising in accordance with professional, ethical, and legal guidelines in the UK.

2. Scope of Services

​

These terms apply to the following services:

 

  • 1:1 Psychological Therapy (in-person or online)

  • Courses and Workshops (live or pre-recorded)

  • Corporate Consultancy, Speaking and Training

 

Where additional or specific agreements are made (e.g. written contracts with corporate clients), those will take precedence in case of conflict.

3. Eligibility

​

Services are provided to:

  • Adults aged 18 and over

  • Children and young people under 18, with parental or guardian consent

By enrolling in a course, booking therapy, or attending a session, you confirm that you meet the relevant eligibility requirements and have legal authority to consent (where applicable).

4. Booking and Payment

​

  • 1:1 Therapy: Payment is due before or at the time of each session unless agreed otherwise. Cancellations require 48 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged in full.

  • Courses/Workshops: Full payment is required at the time of booking. No access will be granted until payment is received.

  • Corporate Work: Payment terms and conditions will be outlined in individual contracts.

5. Instalment Payments

 

Where instalment options are offered for courses or programmes, participants agree to complete all scheduled payments as outlined at the time of booking. Choosing to pay in instalments is a commitment to the full cost of the course.

  • Instalments are typically collected automatically on a scheduled basis.

  • Missed or failed payments may result in suspension of access to course content until the balance is brought up to date.

  • Instalment plans are not subscription-based and cannot be cancelled partway through.

  • If you anticipate any difficulties with your payment schedule, please contact us in advance to discuss options.

6. Refunds

​

  • Courses and workshops are generally non-refundable due to the nature of digital content. Discretionary refunds may be offered in exceptional circumstances.

  • Therapy sessions cancelled with sufficient notice may be rescheduled or refunded as per agreement.

7. Confidentiality

​

  • All therapy sessions are confidential and comply with professional ethical standards.

  • Group sessions and workshops are not therapy, and participants are asked to respect the confidentiality of others.

  • Corporate training may involve group discussion; discretion and professionalism are expected.

8. Intellectual Property

​

All materials (e.g. slides, handouts, recordings) are the intellectual property of Dr Ellie Hambly and may not be shared, copied, or distributed without prior written permission.

9. Technology and Access

​

Participants are responsible for their own internet connection, software and hardware. We are not responsible for technical difficulties beyond our control.

10. Limitation of Liability

 

While all care is taken to provide accurate and supportive services, Dr Ellie Hambly accepts no liability for any direct or indirect loss arising from use of any materials or participation in services.

11. Data Protection

 

All data is processed in line with our Privacy Policy, which complies with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR. Please refer to our full Privacy Policy for details.

12. Use of Services

 

Services are intended for educational, supportive, or therapeutic purposes depending on the offer. Participation in a course or workshop does not constitute a therapeutic relationship unless a separate therapy agreement has been made.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Maximum Liability: Our total liability for any claim shall be limited to the lesser of £500 or the total amount paid by the user in the 3 months preceding the claim.

7. Bookings, Payments, and Cancellations

Bookings are confirmed upon payment. Cancellations must be made with at least 48 hours' notice to avoid being charged. Full terms for cancellations and refunds are provided at the time of booking.

8. Dispute Resolution

We aim to resolve all concerns informally in the first instance. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall proceed to binding arbitration held in Tunbridge Wells, UK, under the Arbitration Act 1996. The language of proceedings shall be English.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes not resolved through arbitration will fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Tunbridge Wells, UK.
