The Summer Stress Reset Workshop

Feeling overstretched, exhausted or just not yourself lately?

If the summer is starting to feel like one long emotional endurance test… you’re not alone.

Many parents I speak to are holding a lot right now, keeping everyone else afloat while quietly wondering when it might be your turn to exhale.

This 60-minute live workshop is a space for you to gently pause, reconnect with yourself, and learn some grounding tools to help you move out of survival mode.

You don’t need to do more, you just need support that meets you where you are.

There’s a huge amount of pressure on parents, particularly mothers to be calm, present, patient, and endlessly available.

But what happens when you’re completely depleted?

When your nervous system is constantly activated and you’re finding it hard to be the parent you want to be?

This workshop is a space to:

  • Understand what’s happening in your body when stress takes over

  • Learn simple ways to calm your nervous system (in real-life conditions, not perfect ones)

  • Work out what you want to spend your time doing and where you want to protect your energy.

What we’ll cover:

This is not a lecture or a list of things to add to your plate. It’s a reset.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • What it means to feel overstimulated and dysregulated, and why it’s so common for parents right now

  • How to activate your body’s rest system using breath and simple grounding tools

  • The role of your personal values in stress recovery and how they can guide clearer, kinder boundaries

  • How to start loosening the grip of internalised expectations and perfectionism

This is grounded in psychological science, but designed to feel human and accessible.

What people have said:

"I found this workshop so useful. How Ellie addressed the examples given and personalised the examples to what we were going through was particularly helpful."

"I love Ellie’s personal approach, the opportunities to ask questions and learn about other people’s experiences."

"The best bits were being able to talk through your thoughts and not being alone."

About me

I’m Dr Ellie Hambly, a Clinical Psychologist with a particular interest in supporting families, especially parents, to live a life in line with their values (not other people's expectations) and one that fulfils them and their children.

I see so many parents who feel like they’re doing something wrong, when really they’re doing too much, for too long, without support.

This workshop is something I’ve created because I want to offer a different kind of space: one where we honour your capacity, not push through it.

 Is this for me?

This workshop might be a good fit if:

  • You’re running on empty and know something needs to shift

  • You’re snappier or more reactive than you want to be and it’s not who you truly are

  • You’re craving tools to help calm your body and your mind

  • You want practical, evidence-based support without committing to a more in depth process

It’s open to all caregivers, and it’s especially for those who feel like they’re carrying a lot this summer.

The details:

  • 60-minute live workshop via Zoom

  • Replay available (no pressure to attend live if it doesn’t work for you)

  • £37 one-time payment

Once you book, you’ll receive an email with all the details and the Zoom link.

FAQs:

I’m not sure I’ll make it live, is that okay?

Absolutely. Everyone who signs up gets access to the replay.

Will this be like therapy?

No, this is not therapy, and it’s not a substitute for it. It’s psychoeducational, reflective, and grounded in psychological understanding, but not a therapeutic relationship.

Do I need to prepare anything?

Just a quiet(ish) space, a pen and paper, and yourself.

You don’t need to push through this on your own

This is a space to breathe. To reflect. To reconnect.

And to remember that it’s okay to put yourself back on the list.
